International Carnival 2011

Jeugdharmonie Burleske
Opening concert by the band BURLESKE, cultural ambassador of their town: Wevelgem (B).
The band whose name means "joyful, happy" counts about 50 joung musicians.
The band has performed in the following countries: Benelux, Gemrnay, France, Great Britain, Switzerland, Austrai, Tcheque Republic, Hungary, Yougoslavia, Spain, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Canada, and the United States.
The Belgian singer Jo Lemaire sang along a few French well known hits (by Piaf, Becaut, Gainsbourg, etc)

D'Lustige Klique from Riedisheim is an alsacian traditionnal guggenmusique.  The band came twice to steenvoorde before, each time with a different outfit. The band will present this year a ... giant... trike ...
Feuerhexen Balingen
The traditionnal witches form the German Black Forest wear carved wooden masks, straw shoes and never forget their broomsticks !

From 4.30 pm: final presentation of the groups in front of the townhall, Place Jean Marie Ryckewaert
 
From 6.00 pm until 10.00pm, muisical animation in the local cafés
